Where the strong clash and the cunning thrive"

Follow them, and we won't have any issues

 rule 001.

Respect all patrons, whether they're adventurers, criminals, or somewhere in between - this is neutral ground. Those who can’t keep their peace will be shown the door or to the pit.

 rule 002.

Deals can be made here, but double-crosses are bad for business. If you make a bargain under this roof, we expect you to uphold your end - or take it outside.

 rule 003.

Stay out of the restricted areas -those who wander where they shouldn't may not find their way back. Some inn-rooms are off-limits for good reason, and ignorance won’t save you from the consequences.

 rule 004.

Drunkenness is encouraged, but belligerence isn’t. If you can’t handle your ale, you’ll be tossed out until you’ve sobered up.

 rule 005.

If you break it, you pay for it - damaged furniture comes out of your gil purse nd' pockets.

 rule 006.

The bar closes when the last bottle is empty, so enjoy the night while it lasts. But remember, the more you drink, the heavier your pockets should be.

 Fighting System Rules & Information

Pit Sign Up -
Any/all eager combatants are required to approach Oz Haragin or Jahka Buduga respectively to sign up! This can be done on the day or previously if required.
Don't be shy, combat RP can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of RP, and is a fantastic outlet for character growth. Greenhorns and pit hounds are all welcome.
Pit System -
Here at Ruin and Revelry we use a standard best of 3 point system which will be explained in detail below -
1. The match will begin with a /random roll, highest roll goes first.2. Following this, P1 (who rolled higher) will go first, they will emote an attack and then follow their /em post with an immediate /random roll.3. P2 will then roll to counter immediately after, then they will emote their counter attack and roll after.
P1 will then roll to see if their attack lands, and this cycle repeats.
A practical example is given below:P1 & P2 both /random.
P1 rolls 263 - P2 rolls 683
P2 - /emote attacks followed by a /random resulting in 457
P1 - /random rolls resulting in 329
Referee will award a point to P2 for a successful hit.
P1 - /emote taking the hit/defense/counter attack followed by a /random resulting in 541
P2 - /random resulting in 932
Referee will declare the attack nullified and no points will be awarded -
P2 - /emote attack followed by a /random resulting in 882
P1 - /random resulting in 421
Referee will award a point to P2 for a successful hit -
This pattern will continue until either P1 or P2 emerges victorious with 3 successful hits landed.During the entire fight the Referee will party up with the contestants and use party chat for OOC questions and guidance.Pit Rules
Now with the system out of the way, let's talk about rules and etiquete.
OOC:
1. Do not godmod, metagame, or be infected with a foul case of maincharacteritis. All attacks are to be attempts/open ended to leave the opponent room to navigate how their OC will react and take the damage. Any godmodding will be immediately addressed, and intentional perpetrators will not be welcome back.
2. Be respectful. Please, this is roleplay, it's meant to be enjoyable and enriching for both parties, IC rivalry and bad blood is welcome, but OOC must be kept pleasant and civil at the least. But we're here for fun, so let's have it.3. Any time constraints or post length limits will be discussed in party with the referee if needed, though we love posts in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes a good fight can't be ruined by the bell.IC:
1. No death or permanent bodily harm unless previously discussed and agreed upon OOC.
2. Put on a show.Any questions regarding the fight pit are to be directed to Oz Haragin or Jahka Buduga

 Bar Section Information

It is simple.Upper Half business, sociable, neutral ground for all. The upper level of Ruin and Revelry is a spot for adventurers, merchants, and anyone looking to relax. It's a mostly peaceful hang-out, where you can grab a drink and chat without worrying about fights breaking out. No weapons, no drama.. just good conversation and maybe a few secrets shared in quiet corners. Kick back by the fire, enjoy the vibe, and leave the brawling for the basement. If you can’t keep it civil, though, we’ll send you downstairs to settle it. Keep it cool, and you'll be fine.Lower Half, criminals, and combat, the basement of Ruin and Revelry is where the gloves come off. In the lower level, the pit awaits, and those with grudges, bad blood, or simply a thirst for violence are free to test their mettle. Down here, it's all about outlaws, mercenaries, and anyone who thrives in the shadows. Fists and steel do the talking, and blood’s just part of the game. No one asks questions, and grudges don’t last long - just keep the fighting in the pit. Jump in to prove yourself, or kick back and simply watch. Just remember - down here, it’s survival of the fittest.A few rules to this:ICLY:1. No killing. This isn’t a slaughterhouse. Fights are for proving strength, not ending lives. We don’t want any corpses on our hands. (Though if there is consent, we'll handle burying the body.)2. Spectators are allowed to make bets amongst themselves, just keep it quiet and clean. Enjoy the show, but don’t get in the fighters’ way, or you might end up in the pit yourself.OOCLY:1. Due to the nature of this set-up if you'd still like to come downstairs, you are more than free to. Just be weary. The bar itself is meant to be a "safe" point and graphic RP is allowed.Send Villix Moore or Jahka Buduga a tell, if you have any questions about this section!

 Villix Moore

Villix, the inn's keeper, is a stoic, no-nonsense figure whose quiet authority keeps everything running smoothly. He doesn’t need to say much - his silence speaks for itself. Always watching the crowd with a sharp eye, he ensures that things stay under control, while engaging in just enough conversation to size up the patrons passing through. Whether you're here for a drink or to settle a score, he makes sure you know who's in charge.Despite his reserved nature, he is a pillar of reliability in the community. The calm efficiency with which he manages the inn, ensures that every guest is attended to with precision and care. While he doesn’t mind a bit of small talk, his dedication to the inn and its visitors is absolute. If anything gets out of line, you can bet he’ll step in to set things straight."I don’t care where you’ve been or what you've done—just follow the rules, and you’ll be fine."

 Jahka Buduga

(WIP)

 Helios Djt-intet

Your dapper server, bartender, announcer . . . whatever is needed moment to moment it seems. Can be dodgy on the details."Business or Pleasure? Either can be a dangerous proposition."

 Oz Haragin

A swanky pirate with an ever present grin and a strong aptitude for shenanigans, Oz is currently working at Ruin and Revelry on favour terms while the ship he captains is out of commission due to... unfortunate circumstances. Well travelled and charismatic, Oz will strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone, though you'll most often see him putting his gift of the gob to use as the announcer and referee of the fight cage. Otherwise he'll likely be found at the bar with his princess palette thirsty for the sweetest wines, forever accompanied by his koala companion, Irwin."Give it all you've got, let your captain handle the rest!"

 Valte Severin

Valte is a soft-spoken and ever-smiling worker who is known for his warm presence. Unlike some of the rougher regulars, he’s not one to favor violence, but he’s always happy to lend a hand or share a conversation. His easygoing nature and smile make the perfect candidate for light-hearted chats."You’d be surprised how much a little kindness can change someone’s night."

 D'vaari tia

D'vaari can be found working just about any location as a back up for those who need a small break, shirtless as he will almost always be found unless he's engaged in the pit. A self proclaimed coward he's, Flirtatious, crass, and confident, his smug attitude and self-assuredness means that nothing can keep him down for long. Willing to listen to patrons, or speak on their behalf if they are in need of silence, he's ready to handle a social situation in a pinch, and willing to try and de-escalate aggressions when people are one to many pints in."Don't worry, the best plan is no plan! It's gotten me this far so far, so I'm clearly doing something right, right?"

 Nalu Nenue

No one really knows where Nalu came from; her story would change every night. The only thing proven is that she’s an unfiltered miqo’te with an unhealthy attachment to questionable substances. When she isn’t relaxing in her private smoking lounge, Nalu loiters around the Ruin and Revelry’s fighting pit, exchanging shady herbs with patrons while she waits for the next match.

"Ugh, I don't get paid enough for this."

 Dash Kahkol

Dash is a bundle of energy, always bouncing around with a smirk and a pocket full of candy. (No literally.) He’s the kind of guy who’ll chat your ear off at the bar, laughing and swapping stories with anyone who’ll listen. Working behind the counter when he feels like it, he is here to keep the good vibes rolling."Need a drink or just wanna chat? I’ve got both, and maybe some candy if you’re lucky!"

 Vanessa Malefique

An Eldite hailing from Solution 9. She fought in the Arcadion multiple years leading in her body being permanently altered. Though she looks a bit different now she strives to be kind and cheerful to all she meets knowing to keep her friends close and her enemies closer. She uses the power of electrope to capture moments in time so that others can enjoy them forever and as such uses her talents as the photographer for R&R!(She will sometimes be seen on her main, Kiri Verninne)

 Eros Namora

Eros is not much of a social butterfly, preferring to keep himself out of any sort of attention unless for work related reasons. He'll entertain in light conversation, any and all are welcome to come chat with him, but anyone willing to test his patience will be quickly introduced to his fists.

 Tuya Malaguld
